There are some signs of Greco of Tufo in Pompei in a painting which goes back to a century before Christ.
It is a wine without equal typicalness, with great appreciations at international level. It is produced in a very limited area, extremely disposed to grapevine cultivation, which includes Altavilla, Tufo, Santa Paolina, Montefusco, Prata di Principato Ultra, Chianche, Petruro Irpino and Torrioni.
